Fireworks by Val Duran

Yesterday we spent time in Stratford Upon Avon, the famous Shakespeare's birthplace.  We walked around the charming town, and a high light was visiting the church where he and his family are buried. We continued into the evening with toasting and dining at a restaurant called the Dirty Duck.  The night ended with watching Henry IV and with an extravagant farewell under a sky of fireworks.

Today was our first full day off in London after an eventful week of workshops, incredible shows, mouth watering treats and bites to eat (best indian food ever!!!), as well as non-stop site seeing.  Everyone did something unique today.  Some things we did on our time off include: soaking up the sun in Regent's Park, taking in the art at the British Museum, sitting with tea at the Tate in front of a glorious view of St. Paul Cathedral, riding in boats along the River Thames, checking out Parliament and Westminster Abbey, strolling through St. James Park to reach Buckingham Palace, or sitting at adorable cafes in various neighborhoods.  Starting to work on our curriculum plan was also a popular option to do with our time.

This week, some of us got lost along the way to destinations, but that is part of the beauty of being in a new place and learning what surrounds us.  It was our week of being in discovery, but the exploring and living in the moment never stops. There is more to come!
